You're Invited....
The school year is back in full swing and you have been invited to present at the first school board meeting. Last year you began your eMINTS journey. The board was impressed with the work of your teachers and students. As they plan for the future, they need to more fully understand your role and identity as a technology coach and innovation leader.
Step 1
You quickly call your PD4ETS cohort and ask for their help. You want to create a presentation based on the National Education Technology Standards for Coaches. Your cohort decides to divide up the standards. Each member of your cohort will chose one of the following standards to research:
Visionary Leadership
Teaching, Learning, and Assessment
Digital Age Learning Environments
Professional Development and Program Evaluation
Digital Citizenship
Content Knowledge and Professional Growth
Resources:
ISTE Standards for Coaches
Coaching White Paper

Step 2
Now that your research is complete, your group will dialogue about each of the standards. You've decided to use this handy scaffold sheet to assist you with gathering information. After each person summarizes their standard, make connections to the standard, your current identity as a coach, and the impact you have on student instruction.
Step 3
Thank your cohort for their help and inspiring dialogue. Before you make your presentation to the School Board, take a moment and review the program plan from Year 1 PD4ETS Training. As you consider the program plan questions, your district implementation, and what you know about the ISTE Standards for Coaches, use a tool of your choice to develop an outline of the message you want to send to the Board and share with other Stake Holders. As you think about your identity as an instructional technology coach and leader, what impact do you have on student instruction?
Step 4
Share your outline with members of your cohort and celebrate the great job you did on your presentation! Remember YOU make a difference in student instruction!
